Greyhound Lane - Supported Living
Introduction
Greyhound Lane is a supported living, training and development unit for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities who may also have additional needs such as mental health problems and autism; or health issues relating to epilepsy, diabetes, etc.; or behaviours that may challenge the community.
Accommodation and Facilities
Greyhound Lane is a spacious home comprising seven studio flats and is decorated and equipped to a high standard. There is a communal living area, a shared kitchen, dining room, laundry area, a large garden at the rear and space for parking at the front. The ground floor room is suitable for a client with mobility difficulties. There is also a basement that is used for storing surplus possessions. On the first floor there is accommodation for two service users or a couple.
Greyhound Lane is located in a quiet residential road just off Streatham High Road and there is easy access to shops and other local amenities.
Clients can expect:
- Pre-admission assessment to identify care needs.
- Individual care programmes tailored to each client’s requirements with progressive goal setting and regular reviews to respond to changing needs.
- Support with independent life skills development including daily living activities, money management, travel skills, community integration, etc.
- 24-hour support.
- Strong links with sponsors and carers.
- Specialised staff in autism, learning disability, epilepsy and managing challenging behaviour.
- Access to health care services such as Psychiatrists, Speech Therapists, GPs, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and nurses, as required.
