Knights Court - Supported Living

Introduction

Knights Court offers supported living provision for vulnerable women with mild to moderate learning disabilities who may also have additional needs such as mental health problems and autism; or health issues relating to epilepsy, diabetes, etc.; or behaviours that may challenge the community.

Knights Court is staffed twenty-four hours per day by all women staff teams.

Accommodation

Knights Court is a five-bedded property with a large and beautifully decorated living room, laundry room, and kitchen / dining-room. Each room is individually furnished to suit the needs and requirements of residents. On the ground floor there is a room suitable for a woman with mobility difficulties.

Knights Court is located in Streatham, South West London, and provides a safe and friendly environment for vulnerable women. The house is located in a quiet residential street just off Streatham High Road and is located close to good community and shopping facilities.

Clients can expect:

  • Pre-admission assessment to identify care needs.
  • Individual care programmes tailored to each client’s requirements with progressive goal setting and regular reviews to respond to changing needs.
  • Support with independent life skills development including daily living activities, money management, travel skills, community integration, etc.
  • 24-hour support.
  • Strong links with sponsors and carers.
  • Specialised staff in autism, learning disability, epilepsy and managing challenging behaviour.
  • Access to health care services such as Psychiatrists, Speech Therapists, GPs, Physiotherapists, Occupational therapists and nurses, as required.

R's Care Manager, A. stated that she would rate as “Good”: the care, friendliness, response to phone calls, complaints/comments and overall cleanliness, decor and ambience of the home.


R's sister, N. regards the staff as very supportive of R. and that R. has grown to trust them, she speaks highly of them and has developed a good relationship. R. said that she is also comfortable within the home.
