Retreat Lodge - Residential Care Home for Mental Health

Introduction

Retreat Lodge is an innovative therapeutic living environment for people experiencing mental health issues, staffed by care professionals who provide emotional and practical support to enable individuals to move towards independent living.

Accommodation and Facilities

Retreat Lodge is an attractive new development that offers a spacious, warm and supportive atmosphere in a quiet residential area with good transport links. All rooms and the studio flat are tastefully decorated with en-suite facilities and there is a large and beautiful, landscaped garden. The ground floor rooms are suitable for clients with mobility problems.

We provide, within Retreat Lodge, 24-hour support including waking night and sleep-in staff, and nursing care if required. Our service differs from others in that we offer both a person-centred therapeutic approach based on Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), together with bespoke practical life skills training.

Our fully trained and experienced staff members specialise in Mental Health issues and aim to empower and support individuals on their journey to recovery through structured daily programmes. Additional therapeutic support and development programmes can be provided including:

  • Individual Psychotherapy
  • Group Psychotherapy – Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
  • Yoga
  • Music therapy
  • Horticultural therapy
  • Therapeutic support
  • Use of on-site Life Skills Development Centre
  • Health monitoring.

Preparation for Employment and Education

Working collaboratively with families, referring agencies and statutory/voluntary services, Retreat Lodge provides an essential service, supporting individuals as they progress to recovery together and with practical preparation for independent living.

Accessing and supporting voluntary/paid work placements underpins our work to enable individuals to enter/re-enter employment. Literacy support, study skills and I.T. training are also available at our Life skills Development Centre to support people wishing to return to education or employment.
